Ongoing commitment to evolve towards a environmental sustainable industry

In the spirit of the Kyoto Protocol of 1997, Cerruti has created a harmonious rapport with the environment by installing a reduce energy system and a recycling steam system.

The company has taken all necessary precautions to reduce environmental impact with solutions aimed at every sector. A biological treatment plant has been implemented for the treatment of waste waters.

This allows the company to put the water directly back into the adjacent river. Furthermore, a project for the re-use of purified waste water has been implemented. The mill has also installed a system for the disposal of fine dust particles that allows the expulsion of completely purified air into the atmosphere, according with the parameters imposed by the inspecting bodies (Legislative Decree no. 152, 03/04/06).

Planning for the future through tireless research in sustainable progress, Lanificio F.lli Cerruti, takes care about the safety of the textile products and the protection of Made in Italy through Tessile&Salute Certification.

We take care of the land

The wool factory has always opposed delocalization, keeping its roots always in Biella.

We take care of people

The consumer is still exposed to the risk of disease by contact with fabrics. This is why Lanificio F.lli Cerruti fulfils the commitment to respect and protect people by adopting Tessile&Salute Certification.

Founded in 2001, the Associazione Tessile e Salute (Health and Textile Association) is at the side of consumers, producers, institutions and organizations who care about the safety of the textile and footwear products and the protection of Made in Italy.
